Portugal awarded world's best tourism destination

Portugal was awarded the World's best tourism destination by the World Travel Awards. With this award, Portugal became the first european country to achieve first place. In addition to the highest honor, the country won five more awards. Lisbon was awarded best city-break destination and Madeira took the 'oscar' for best island destination in the world.
